Williams, Lawrence "Larry"
In Fond Memory of Lawrence “Larry” Davis Williams Larry Williams, 90, of Dallas, Texas passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015. He was born in New York City on February 28, 1925 to parents Violet and Bertram Williams and was married to Gladys May King for sixty-seven years until her passing on February 19, 2014. He is survived by his three children, Heather Williams, Scott Williams, and Joyce Lindauer, and their spouses and his five grandchildren, Cathleen Williams, Kathryn Kraft, Kelsi Hinely Smith, Jonathan Lindauer and Davis Williams. Larry worked as an insurance underwriter throughout the country and was considered a casualty insurance expert. He moved with his family to Dallas, eventually establishing his own insurance agency. For several years he had a craft and then clock making business, Timely Treasures, in Olla Podrida. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Shriners and a long-time member of the Roy Stanley Masonic Lodge, Dallas. He served in the United States Army Transport Corp during World War II. Larry was a beloved member of the Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church and community. He loved his family and his adopted state of Texas. Donations may be given in his memory to the Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held at Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church, 8525 Audelia Road, Dallas, Texas 75238 at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2015.
