Obituary of
Brown, Cynthia Renee (Blanken)
Cynthia Renee Brown, - Cyndi never met a stranger, she only had friends.
Cynthia Renee Brown, is finally at peace with her Lord. She was born on October 4, 1955 in El Centro, California. ‘Cyndi,’ as she was affectionately called, went home to be with the Lord on September 24, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents R. J. Blanken and Johnnie Blanken.
She is survived by her love Tony Orlando, of Carrolton, Texas; her two sons Jared Travis Cloud, of Dallas Texas; and Michael Roy Brown Jr., his wife Donna Brown, and their children Izzy, Jasper, Jeri, and Cali, of Yardley Pennsylvania. She also leaves behind her sister, Melinda Todd, and her three children; her brother Jeff Blanken, his wife Sheryl and their son; plus an Aunt Joyce Walsh and her husband, all reside in Alvin, Texas.
Over the years Cindy lived from California, to Arizona, to Montana, to South Dakota with Texas in between. At the time of her passing she was a resident of Carrolton, Texas. She was a proud Texas A&M graduate and member of FFA She retired as an ISD Animal Science Teacher in September 2014, after accumulating twenty plus years of teaching. Besides the fact that she loved her two sons and her grandchildren, she loved all family, friends, coworkers, and students as if they were her own. There was nothing you could ask her that to do, that was too big, or too small. This will capture only one aspect of Cyndi’s character. In response to the death of a friends loved one, who felt the death must have been wrong, Cyndi simple said, “No, but it will be ok.” Cyndi was a can do woman. She lived, life in plain sight for everyone to see Philippians 4:13:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Cyndi kept us entertained for years working at middle school together and then in our crafting group during our “free” time. I enjoyed seeing her growing, vibrant family and loved ones through pictures in her artful scrapbook albums. My condolences to all of you.

Cyndi had been my sister-in-law but more important she was a friend. She was not one to hold grudges. Her laugh will never be forgotten Her genuine love for her family was more than one could imagine. She began growing her angel wings long before her diagnosis. We can all be at peace knowing she is looking down on us with love and support always. She will be missed by all. Sending hugs and love to Tony, Jared & Mike! May God offer you strength knowing “Mom” is walking with Him.
