“I highly recommend this funeral home and crematorium; when I had to make and pay for my brother’s arrangements across state lines, Evelyn Montonya, in particular, demonstrated both compassion and professionalism and made a very sad and difficult situation much easier. Many thanks.”
I was out of the country when Stacy passed away, and found out about her passing after serendipitously running into her daughter, who recognized me walking my dogs in our community. So as of Easter Sunday 2017, this news is very fresh. I’m so sad to miss the service, but I’m glad to know this tribute is here and I’m glad I can make a contribution. I met Stacy while walking my dogs through our community — she didn’t own a dog, but always had treats to share with the neighborhood dogs. We became friendly and I made a point to walk by her apartment, where I’d often see her reading on her ground floor patio and enjoying the night air with her cat for company. She was so wonderful and friendly to me, and it made me happy to see that she enjoyed seeing my dogs (who adored her for feeding them treats). She even took care of my plants one time while I was out of town, and I’m glad I made a point to bring her a care package in extra thanks for her help. I remember the last day I saw her, the day before I left on my travels and four days before her passing. I wish so much that I had given her a hug. I am so sad that she is gone, but I’m so grateful for her daughter, Meagan, for recognizing me in the neighborhood and informing me of this news. If Meagan sees this, know that I’m immeasurably grateful to you for telling me, and both my dogs and I reaped so much joy in knowing Stacy for the past 1.5 years. Peace to you, Stacy. I won’t forget you. -Marissa (plus Max and Electra pups).

Stacy was the first person I made contact with within the school district and she served me with a smile and laughter. I am one of the many substitute teachers she managed everyday. Due to the shock of her passing, I will grieve with you her family, work and home. God bless you all.

I will miss Stacy’s vibrant energy. Always ready to volunteer to help make things better. Stacy was part of my work family. She strived to be the best person she could be! My heart is sad but I know she is resting and in the presence of God. G. Prince

I’ll miss you my dear Stacy. We had some great times together at work. You were always so kind to me from the first day we met, and I will never, ever forget that. You were someone who I could talk to and be real with. Thank you for the gift of genuine friendship. Matthew 11:28 – Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest…
Rest now my sister, rest. Peace be with you. Love you always…
