Obituary of
Hooper, Anita Barbara "Neats"
Anita Barbara Hooper, born October 3, 1923, Ā known as " Neats",Ā left us on Tuesday, MayĀ 23, 2017. Anita fought to be here to the bitter end. Her strong willĀ and determination to go 'her way' was Anita's plan.
Her exceptional love, devotionĀ and caring ways was a gift greatly felt by all. Her love to care and nurture others was her lifetime goal. The love of her life was her husband, Donald, along with her son, Donny. Her biggest fear leaving this world was leaving Donny to care for himself. Now...the struggle is over and she leaves behind; Donnie, her beloved only childĀ and his wife, Michele, who was like a ' daughter to her; RobĀ and Rick, her grandsons, who held a very special place in her heart along with Rick's wife, Ginger as well as Rob's girlfriend, Amanda Haag; great grandson, Grayson, the son of Rick and Ginger; Myrna Litten, her close friendĀ and 'sister'; Mindy Litten, her admired friend; Studley 'Lala'Ā and Bentley, the family dogs, who she spoiled rotten giving extra treats and table food whenever no one was looking! In addition to her immediate family, she leaves behind her two great nieces, Erica YoungĀ and Nicole Heath, who she nurturedĀ and cared for like a grandmother/mother; and her admired caretakers, Gwendolyn ThomasĀ and Cheryl Lee Waring, who caredĀ and protected her until the end.
Anita is now free and can finally rest in peace beside her beloved husband DonaldĀ and reconnect with her mother, Sophie, father, ThomasĀ and brother, Freddy in the heavens above.
Her familyĀ and friends will greatly miss her and will never forget the love she gave.
Anita will be entombed on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 12:00 noonĀ in the Mausoleum at Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park, 7405Ā W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas 75225.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations, in Anita's memory, to the National Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue., Floor #17,Ā Chicago, IL 60601, 1-800-272-3900,Ā email: inf@alz.org

Neats was one of a kind and will always have a special place in my heart. She was loved by everyone who was fortunate enough to have gotten to know her. Anita was extremely special, kind, giving, generous, caring, determined, feisty and the cutest fire ball always full of energy. She opened up her home to everyone and her heart was made of gold. Anita touched some peoples lives. She never questioned anyone and excepted everyone for who they were. She was the perfect role model as a wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. The spirit never dies and you left us with the greatest gift; your love. You will be greatly missed by all but surely never forgotten. Your memory is a blessing and now you can finally rest in peace by your beloved husband Donald and reconnect with the rest of your family. Love to all of you, Judy.

I had the pleasure of meeting Anita during Ginger’s and Rick’s wedding reception. What a cute acting lady who was cherished by her loving family. It is wonderful she lived long enough to see her grandsons grow up to be men.
She is lucky to have been involved with and loved by all.
She passed on her uniqueness to her decendents, and charmed the rest of us. Dear Hoopers, sorry for your loss, and the empty chair, and cute shoes she leaves you with.
Love to you all. Annette
