How privileged I am that Dolena Tutt Westergard is my very loving daughter and that for these past 64 years our Father God gifted her to me and as time went on; also to her four sisters and to her one brother who will all miss her. She will be remembered by many Cousins, Aunts and Uncles, friends and Co-workers.
Dolena was a student at Baylor Law School where she met Mark Westergard. They studied together and became good friends. After graduating, they became even better friends and soon were married. Dolena was a beautiful bride in every way. Inner love and kindness shone through her eyes and face as she and Mark talked with family and wedding guests.
In 1986, Dolena and Mark were blessed with a son who they named Joe Matthew. They were so delighted with this very smart and healthy, happy baby. By this time Dolena was an Assistant D.A. working in the District Attorney’s office – Dallas.
Dolena’s life was dedicated to Joe and his development into adulthood. He was daily by his mother’s bedside those last three weeks of her life. and Joe was at Dolena’s bedside when she passed away…to be with God. Joe will miss her so very much.
