Obituary of White, Lindy "Clovis"

Lindy “Clovis” White 82 years of age of Shady Shores, Texas, fell asleep in death on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 8:36 am. Clovis was born in Deridder, Louisiana on October 14, 1934.  He is the son of the late Mark White and Hazel McFaddin White and was the middle of 11 children.  On  May 17, 1975 in Dallas, Texas he married Bobby Lavon White. Clovis enjoyed fishing, gardening, singing  and playing the guitar along with other instruments.  Clovis spent 3-years in the Marines and spent most of his life as a carpenter. Clovis is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harvey White, Bruce White, Glennwood White, Bub White; sisters, LaTane Bates, LaNell Kreysigs, all of Vidor, Texas and Jane “Genevia” Irvin of Quinlan, Texas; step-son, Larry Green and 1 grandson and 1 step-granddaughter. He was very much loved and will be missed by his wife,  Bobby of Shady Shores; son, David Claude White;  daughters,  Kathy Rives and Deborah Jean Palmer; step-children, Susan Allison and Michael Wayne Boyd;  5 grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren, 5-great grandchildren, and 7-step great grandchildren; brother, Sherman White of Vidor, Texas; sisters, LaVerne Knight, and Anne Casey; and many nieces and nephews.
