“I highly recommend this funeral home and crematorium; when I had to make and pay for my brother’s arrangements across state lines, Evelyn Montonya, in particular, demonstrated both compassion and professionalism and made a very sad and difficult situation much easier. Many thanks.”

Obituary of
Parker, Florence Jane (Conlan)
Florence Jane (Conlan) Parker passed away September 9, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. Jane was born November 13, 1934, in Clarksville, Texas to parents Cyril Martin Conlan and Bernice Massey Conlan. She graduated high school in Clarksville, Texas and received both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas. Jane was a retired public-school teacher. During her professional career, she taught at the Edgewood Independent School District, the Wills Point Independent School District, and the Paris Independent School District. Shortly after graduating from college, she also served as an extension agent for the Texas Agricultural Service office in Canton, Texas. Education was a big part of her life and she instilled the importance of it in her children and students. Jane had several passions, but particularly liked to shop for antiques and watch both the Dallas Mavericks basketball team and the Texas Rangers baseball team. She often joked that she could be the Rangers’ general manager. Even though Jane had not lived in Clarksville since high school, she closely followed the Clarksville Tigers high school basketball team especially anytime they reached the playoffs. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and three sisters. She is survived by her daughter Dr. Patti Parker of Dallas; son Phil Parker and his wife Lee of Jefferson; grandchildren: John Ridge, Jantzen Parker, Sara Todaro Gomez, and Bethany Todaro: great-grandchildren: Audri Brooke Parker and Sutton Hayes Parker; brother, James T. Conlan of Oak Park, California; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation services will be provided by North Dallas Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made in Jane’s honor, to the Saint Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, c/o Marion Lowe, 446 FM 412, Clarksville, Texas 75426.
