I knew Karen in high school and in the last couple of years we were reintroduced via Facebook. She was a year ahead of me and back then I remember her heart was good, very social and a very good student. Ashland, Oregon was very proud to have Karen as part of the student body. She went on to study at Norte Dame and also served in the Navy. Fast forward to 2015 she and I had many humorous interchanges about family, politics, being veterans, old Ashlanders and she was quite savvy about her sports. She talked of her son Zach very often, she was so proud to be his mum. I am sorry to hear of her passing and I trust she is happy with the full life she led here on earth. My condolences to Zach, family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear of Karen’s untimely death. She and I crossed paths both professionally (I am attorney-mediator and mediated one of her family cases) and personally. She and I lived near one another and we both enjoyed walking at White Rock Lake, and occasionally we walked along the lake together.
