Obituary of Wall, Laura Ann (Mills)

LAURA ANN WALL, of Carrollton, Texas, was born on July 4, 1972, in Dallas, Texas. Laura is better now, relieved of cancer and in the embrace of the Lord. She courageously left us from Parkland Hospital, Dallas, Texas Thursday, November 9, 2017 while in the watchful care of family. Laura was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Gail Mills. Laura is survived by her husband, of just over 25 years, Michael; children, Joshua, Jadon, Joel, Josiah, Jamin; father, Don Mills; sister, Angie Rodriguez and husband, Greg; sister, Amy Dresser and husband, David; sister, Christy Mills; aunt, Betty Clark; cousin, Kevin Clark; cousin, Sheri Clark; nieces, Carissa, Anika, Elia, and Liberty and nephews, Lucas and Landry. Laura, the oldest of four girls, was raised in Carrollton most of her life. She graduated high school from Gateway Christian in 1990.  She went on to study at Dallas Christian College and graduated with honors in December 1997. She shared the love of God in both children and adult ministries throughout most of her life. She loved serving at First Baptist Church Carrollton where she taught Sunday school, VBS, Good News Club and volunteered in the Library and Other Ministries. Laura spent much of her day sharing Christ’s love and teaching as she homeschooled her five children and be a loving mother and wife. Laura believed that we should not live our lives by what we feel but instead we should live by the Truth God’s Word reveals. Laura is one of the few truly wonderful. Her Sunday school kids described her, as “Very Patient, Loving, Kind and also Very Sweet. “ She is that and so very much more as Family, Friends, Acquaintances and others fortunate to meet her and know her would testify. She said only because she made Jesus both Savior and Lord of her life.  She wants you to know the good news, that God loves you, wants to heal you and has a plan for you. Laura is and will be dearly missed by her family, friends and by all the many families whose lives she has touch with her Godly Love, care and courageous spirit. Family will be receiving visitors on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at First Baptist in Carrollton, 2400 N. Josey Lane, Carrollton, Texas 75006. Interment will be Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 10:30 am at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 10977 Harry Hines Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75220. Memorial Service will be Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 1:30 pm at First Baptist Church in Carrollton, 2400 N. Josey Lane, Carrollton, Texas 75006.
