Sister Land was a True Prayer Warrior and was a close friend of my Grandparents (Forshaws) and my family. Sister Land was always there for me when I just needed someone to talk too and she often gave me rides to Bible Study. She was a loving, caring, compassionate woman of God and she will be deeply missed. Heaven truly gained another Angel.

I cannot tell you how heartbroken I am to read this obituary. I worked with Dee @ Turner Hardware back in the late 80’s. Being a transplant from Illinois, Dee took me under her wing. I too, like many others called her my Texas Mom, and I lovingly re-named her “Pearl May”. We stayed in touch for a little while when I moved back home to Illinois. She called me when my own father passed away. Over the years, we lost touch but she will always hold a special place in my heart. Even though I was only in Texas for six years, she made such an impact on my life. I loved her.

So many memories shared by “the best neighbor in the world!” Dee & I lived next door to each other for 50 yrs. We’ve prayed, cried, and laughed together. She was a Godly inspiration. I know she will leave a large void in so many lives, but she is only a memory away!

Dee Land is a true Saint of God. She has been an inspiration to me for many years. We’ve shared many trials and tribulations and many joys in our friendship. Always there for me in person and prayer. I know she is rejoicing on those streets of gold, walking and talking with the lover and savior of her eternal soul. The reunion with her Charlie and all those family and friends that have gone before her. I’m so happy her fight on this earth is over…. Will miss her tremendously and will never forget her. Rest in peace my sister, you deserve it. Love to you from my family. May God extend his arm of peace and comfort to all her family and give them the healing in their hearts that can only come from you Lord.
