Obituary of
Fredrickson, Frank Talbot
Frank Talbot Fredrickson, 92, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2018 at 7:39 pm. He left this earth in much the same fashion as his beloved wife, Elayne Gertrude Konietzko Fredrickson, when his three daughters had left the hospital to get a bite to eat.
He was born in Astoria Long Island, New York to the late Frank Alexander Fredrickson and Marguerite L. Watson and grew up in Redfield, South Dakota.Ā After graduating from high school, he joined the Navy and served in World War II in the Pacific on the USS Alpine. Once honorably discharged, he came home and attended Central Radio & Television Trade School in Kansas City, Missouri.Ā Upon completion he landed a job with the radio station KWAT in Watertown, South Dakota. He also worked for Northern Natural Gas Company of Kansas.Ā It was his job with Collins Radio that brought him to Dallas, Texas and eventually to find the love of his life. He and a buddy of his went to San Angelo, Texas on a job and during his stay Frank went on a blind date with Elayne.Ā After that one date they wrote to each other for two years before he proposed to Elayne and eventually got married on January 4, 1964. They quickly started a family having three girls Angela, Michelle, and Stacy. He began a long career with the City of Dallas in May of 1969 retiring from there in 1990.
In retirement he enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and watching "The Young and Restless" with his wife.Ā Frank was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and would mourn losses by draping his Dallas Cowboy bandana over the TV. He loved listening to Big Band music and was quite the dancer. He loved good food, especially steaks and was always ready for happy hour.
Frank is survived by this three daughters, Angela Fredrickson Roberts and wife, Julie, Michelle Fredrickson Eastwood, and husband, David, and Montine Stacy Fredrickson, and partner, Carol Visciarelli; grandchildren, Shelbie and Alec Eastwood; nephews,Ā Richard Groves and wife, Diane,Ā Michael Groves and wife, Gina.Ā Frank is preceded in death by his loving wife, Elayne G. Konietzko Fredrickson; his parents, Frank & Marguerite Fredrickson; and his sister, Mary Jane Groves.

Iām a member of the MN side of the family. I had a business trip to Dallas in 1997 and Tiny and Frank had me over for an amazing Italian dinner and red wine. They were such amazing hosts and it made for a fantastic evening that Iāll never forget. I imagine them together hosting a similar dinner party right now! Love both of them!
