Obituary of Robertson, David Arnold

David Arnold Robertson was born July 4, 1935 in Roxton, Texas, the youngest of fourteen brothers and sisters. At 82 years young, David went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 3, 2018. David was a dedicated family man all of his life—a loving son, brother, husband, father, and Pappa. After graduating from Roxton High School in 1954, David quickly moved to Dallas. He met the love of his life, Patricia, in January 1956 and they were married in September of that same year at Home Gardens Baptist Church. David was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1957, where he served 18 months in Germany. Not being the type to ever sit idle, David worked a variety of jobs and eventually retired from the U.S. Postal Service. David was known for his kind heart, quick wit, devotion to the Lord and to his family. He stood up for what he believed in and gave hell to those who tried to stop him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. David was preceded in death by his father, Eunice Earl Robertson and his mother, Ruby Linda Robertson. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patricia Robertson; daughters, Cheryl Chaddick and husband, David, Cathy Kathman and husband, Guy, grandchildren, Candace Sears, Scott Chaddick, Ashley Finley, Daniel Kathman, Cody Chaddick; great-grandchildre, Zach Sears, Christian Kane, Katelyn Sears, Natalee Sears, Kinsley Chaddick, Callen Chaddick; and grandchildren-in-love, Cortney Harper and family.
