Obituary of
Brolliar, William (Bill) Loren
William L. (Bill) Brolliar passed away at his home on March 5, 2018 in Richardson, Texas.Ā He was born September 1, 1930, in El Paso Texas, the son of Maynard Clare Brolliar and Velma Boyd Brolliar.Ā He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas in 1948 and Southern Methodist University in 1960 where he made many lifelong friends.
Bill lived a full and joyous life. He leaves behind his loving wife of 41 years, Jana Lynn Bell; his faithful and loving companion of 12 years, his dog, Annie; daughter, Darcy (Jim) Schultz; daughter, Doreen Brollier; grandchildren, Nate (Betsy) Schultz and Scott Schultz;Ā brother, Richard Brolliar and his wife, Judy of Alabama; brother-in-law, Bill Shinkle of Colorado; brother-in-law, Joe Dick Bell and his wife, Jan; sister-in-law, Melody Flanagan and her husband Kelly; sister-in-law, Teresa Gibson and her husband Gary; mother-in-law, JoAnn Bell; father-in-law, Dick Bell all of Amarillo.Ā Ā Bill is survived by many nieces and nephews.Ā Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Maynard Boyd (Sonny) Brolliar; and sister, Barbara Terry Shinkle.
Before moving to Dallas, Bill was a longtime resident of Amarillo where he and his business partner and longtime friend, OJ Skelton, operated Miller National Corporation.
It has been said that Bill lived in too many places, had too many friends, had too many jobs and had too much fun.Ā It would take too long to mention them all!Ā Bill enjoyed reading mysteries, going to libraries, spending time with friends and family, and traveling the world.Ā He treasured his friendships with his Sunday School friends from Spring Valley United Methodist Church and Preston Hollow United Methodist Church in Dallas.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 10:00 am at Spring Valley United Methodist Church, 7700 Spring Valley Road, Dallas, Texas 75254.Ā After the service, a reception will be held at the church.
Memorials in remembrance of Bill can be directed to your favorite charity.
