Obituary of
Sandifer, Larry Dwayne
Larry Dwayne Sandifer, 58, went home to be with The Lord on March 26, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. Larry was a devoted Christian who cherished his family. His firm belief in Jesus carried him through all adversity. He was born to Ennis Kenneth and Peggy Elaine Sandifer in Grand Saline, Texas on December 8, 1959.
Larry served in Law Enforcement his entire professional career. He started with the Mineola Police Department in 1982 and subsequently successfully served with Quitman Police Department, Wood County Sheriff’s Office, Farmers Branch Police Department and most recently as Investigator with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office.
He loved spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle and singing with his Southern Gospel Quartet. Larry’s life was characterized by a servant’s heart. We can hear Jesus say the words: “… ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.” Matthew 25:23
Larry was blessed with a loving family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Elaine Sandifer.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Maria Sandifer; father, Ennis Kenneth Sandifer; children, Nicholas Dwayne Sandifer and wife, Melena of Van, Texas, Lindsey Jordan Sandifer, Juan Antonio De la Cruz Jr, Eric Jonathan De la Cruz, Sophia Aiyana Thomas-Bear; grand children, Rexi Lyn Sandifer, Kutter Dwayne Sandifer and Bowen J. Sandifer; sister, Terri Sandifer Dievendorf of Mineola, Texas; brother, Jeffrey Sandifer of Mineola, Texas; and all other extended family.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 -8:00 pm on Thursday March 29, 2018 in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday March 30, 2018 in the Brooks Family Chapel at the North Dallas Funeral Home.

Though my family only met him on a few occasions, he made a mighty impact on us. He had such a sweet spirit and it was obvious that he was a follower of Christ. He definitely made this world a better place.
