Obituary of Zarinana, Norma Alicia

Norma Alicia Zarinana of Dallas, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 29th, 2018 at the age of 72.  She was born on March 17,1946 in Yuma, Arizona Zarinana to her parents, Rosario and Carmen Sarinana.

Norma Alicia is survived by her mother, Carmen Sarinana; daughters, Kathleen Green Lavender and Johnette Denise Green, and grandson Johnathan Wesley Smith. Norma was the eldest of ten siblings. Her brothers and sisters are Nilza Sarinana, Bertha Avelar, Irma Sarinana Llaguno, Carmen Aida Ramirez and Sergio Sarinana. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Nilza Renee Green; father Rosario Sarinana; brothers, Hector Sarinana, Francisco Sarinana, Oscar Sarinana; and sister, Evangelina Sarinana.

Norma Alicia was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was a best friend to many, especially her daughter Kathleen, whom she shared a strong faith in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She held Jesus’ grace in her hand. Norma was an incredible person that had a gift for listening to others and had a selfless heart. She was a residential home Realtor for many years for Home Partners Realty. She loved giving back to her community and helping her clients realize their dreams of owning a home.

She was a wonderful mother that gave to her three daughters endlessly. She was so generous that she would happily go without so that her children would have all they needed. She had a passion for reading that she shared with her daughter Renee. She loved to travel with her daughter Johnette; creating, decorating, and learning about the beautiful world and all its treasures. If ever there was an opportunity to make something beautiful, Norma could do it with ease. She could decorate her home, sew her daughters’ precious clothes when they were children, dress herself with such fashion and flair, make the Christmas season so enjoyable with her handmade designs. Norma woke up each day with a smile on her face, positive attitude, and grateful to the Lord for all of her blessings. She gave her love and her shining light to love to all her family and friends.

Norma Alicia’s life will be honored by her family at a mass on April 9th, 2018. The memorial will take place at St. Monica Catholic Church at 10am. All are welcome to attend and celebrate.

Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
