Campbell was very involved in the early days of establishing the Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center. He took some terrific pictures of the plants and wildlife that we used for years when talking about the project to many interested people who couldn’t get out there to see Dogwood Canyon in person. I wish I still had his pictures. So sad to learn of his death. He was a great environmentalist and humanitarian who I will not forget.

I was so blessed to have Dr. Read as a professor, but to also had opportunity to get to know him as a humanitarian and nature enthusiast. So many memories of his stories in and outside of the classroom.
