Watts, Vernon "Wayne"

Vernon Wayne Watts passed from this earth on Thursday,  May 17, 2018 at the age of 64.  He was born on June 8, 1953 in Hanford, California.

Wayne had a great passion for life and lived every day to the fullest! He loved playing his guitars and signing when he wasn’t on the lake fishing, creating a new dish in the kitchen, tending to garden, building something, or working on one of his many projects. However, his greatest passion was for his family, grandchildren, lifelong and new friends alike, and his beloved pets.

Wayne worked in the retail/wholesale shoe business for over 35 years. He was a true salesman at heart all while looking to help his customer find just the right shoe.  Wayne never passed up an opportunity to have fun, met a challenge he didn’t take on, or a chance to help someone else.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Watts and Anna Watts Hughes. He leaves behind his wife and soul mate of 36 years Cindy, daughter Audrea Brooke and husband Martín Lopez, daughter Jessica Ragan and husband Jared Warner, and grandchildren Callen and Sydney Lopez along with numerous adored nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who were just like family to him.

My Condolences Cindy and Family. Wayne was a very special person to us. The kids adored him and I am thankful for his entertaining them when they were there. I can still remember them laughing while sitting at his computer. We love you all!!

I do not get on Face Book much anymore and my wife was reading some things on it when she saw this message. Cindy, Brook, and Ragan I want to say how sorry and saddened I am to hear about Wayne's passing. I wish to apologize for not responding sooner. No mater how distant or how far apart we are as family. Family is family!! The Bench's unfortunately is not the closest nit family out there. But we are still family. Wayne, my brother Bobby, and I used to hang out and play together, when we were kids, when Aunt Anna and my Dad (Bob her brother) would get together for a visit. Wayne truly is one of kind, one of the good one's. I believe God received another good one up there. May God's grace and peace be with you three and the grand children as well. The Family is less richer today because of his lose. My sad heart and deep, deep prayers for you and the Family. Wayne's cousin, Monty.

Oh Cindy, I cannot imagine the terrible pain you are going through right now. You and Wayne had one of the best marriages I have ever seen. A perfect match. A perfect union. And a perfect love. Wayne was such a wonderful person in so many ways, and so many levels. He was funny! Dang, was he funny! And he was a salt of the earth guy, who cared about all of his friends, and certainly all of his family. No marriage or marriage partner is perfect, but I imagine Wayne came pretty close! I am sure that I am not unlike everyone else who had the great pleasure of meeting Wayne, and becoming his friend...I liked him instantly! I know his pain and suffering is gone now, and that he is in a better place. And I hope that you will accept my condolences for your loss. I am so sad today. We lost a great one. God bless you both.
