Obituary of Miller, Scott Daniel

Scott Daniel Miller of Dallas, Texas passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018 at the age of 40.  He was born in Dallas, Texas to Samuel R. and Nancy Nickles Miller. Scott was baptized October 16, 1977, and he confirmed those vows May 20, 1990, at Highland Park Presbyterian Church. After attending St. Mark’s School of Texas, he was graduated from Greenhill School and The University of Texas at Austin.  He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.  His career as a real estate analyst led him to positions at ORIX Capital Markets, Fortress Investment Group, Goldman Sachs/Archon Group and Hanover Street Capital as vice president.  He was a fan of UT football, College World Series and the Texas Rangers. Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother, Mark Miller and wife, Sarah O’Keefe and their daughter, Charlotte of Durham, NC, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. A worship service to celebrate Scott’s life will be held Monday, July 30, at 4:00 pm at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, 9800 Preston Road at Walnut Hill, Dallas, followed by a reception at the church. Because of Scott’s participation in Blondes v. Brunettes in honor of his grandmother, donations to the Greater Dallas Chapter Office of The Alzheimer’s Association, or Greenhill School, would be greatly appreciated. Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.

I know your birthday is coming up so I thought I’d take some time to remember you. I rarely saw you but I always looked forward to when I did. You were so kind, funny, and the best uncle a girl could wish for. I’ll never forget the few times we shared, and I wish we could’ve had so many more.
