Violets and Lipstick.
That’s how I will remember her. Always putting on her lipstick. Driving with her purse behind her back and bringing warm plates of food to Steve while Wheel of Fortune is on in the background. The violets in the kitchen filled her window. You could smell them as she stood ironing the clothes to be worn for the day. Violets and lipstick…. that’s how I will remember Agnes.
