Denson, Richard "Rick" Laine
RICHARD “RICK” LAINE DENSON A much-loved husband, father, and grandfather, Rick Denson, 83, of Aubrey, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 5, 2018. He had bravely fought lymphoma, kidney disease, and congestive heart failure. He was born on July 2, 1935 in Norfolk, Virginia to Alette Vernon and Rosa Denson and has resided in Texas for the past 65 years. Rick served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1954-1956 and received an Honorable Discharge. Rick had many hobbies which included square dancing, raising goats and pigs, woodworking, and gardening. He worked for Air Treads/Goodyear for over 40 years before retiring in 1997. Rick is survived by his wife of 61 years, Virginia Ruth Denson of Aubrey; son Richard Laine Denson, Jr. of Aubrey; daughter Cynthia Renee Daniel and husband Ricky of North Richland Hills; daughter Cathleen Rae Denson of Ft. Worth; grandson Jeffrey Denson and wife Rebekah; granddaughter Christina Denson; grandson Jonathan Denson; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family will be holding a private gathering celebrating Rick’s life. Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
