Barbosa, Antone Paul

Antone Paul Barbosa passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the age of 64.  He was born to Dorothy and Tony Barbosa at St. Paul’s Hospital in Dallas, Texas.  He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Charlotte Barbosa, son Charles Barbosa, daughter Brandi Kent, 7 grandchildren-Denecia (Tommy) A.J., Zachariah, Michael, Aubriey, Audrey, Andrew, 2 Great-Grandchildren, Rosetta, Kayannalise, 2 Sisters, Angie Tanner of Arkansas, Anna Rollins (Craig) of Oklahoma and 3 nieces, Alana, Andie, and Laura.

Antone attended St. Luke’s, Nimitz, Irving High and W.T. White where he graduated in 1972.  He was a ballet dancer, Boy Scout, and Life guard.  Early on he and his buddies enjoyed auto mechanics.  Antone loved his church, family and friends, fishing, listening to talk radio, especially NPR’S, WWDTM, and story telling.  He was a self employed home improvement repairman; he worked on many friends and parishioners homes.  He was a design artist and very meticulous in whatever task he undertook.   He was always there to help anyone in need.

Antone never met a stranger and would engage in conversation with anyone.   He had a plaque inside of his bedroom that he read every morning,  “NO MAN IS A FAILURE IF HE ENJOYS LIFE” and Antone truly enjoyed life!
