Griffin-Thornton, Latonya Carol
Latonya Carol Griffin-Thornton of Little Elm, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the age of 59.
Latonya was born on May 13, 1959 in Dallas, Texas. She was one of 7 children, 4 girls and 3 boys. Tonya was a resident of Dallas for more than 50 years. She worked as Assistant Director of a Daycare for many years and Owner of Tonia’s Catering. She also was a member of Hamilton Chapel Baptist Church where she served as Director of the Choir.
Cherishing her memories is her Mother, Cora Thornton of Little Elm, TX; Father, Homer Thornton of Dallas, TX; Stepmother Betty Thornton of Dallas, TX; Three Sisters Latrica Thornton of Houston, TX, Debra Thornton-
Kennedy of Dallas, TX, Linda Cavitt of Dallas, TX; Three Brothers Ryan Thornton of Dallas, TX, Dewayne Cavitt of Dallas, TX, Don Cavitt Jr of Dallas, TX; Two sons, Donta (Javonda) Griffin of Frisco, TX and Chris (Amanda) Griffin of Lewisville, TX; 9 nieces and 3 nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving visitors for viewing and visitation on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
A graveside service will be on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 10:00 am at Laurel Lane Memorial Park, 6000 S R L Thornton Fwy, Dallas, Texas 75232. There will be a visitation at 9:00 am.
