Moore Jr., Henry Clay

Henry Clay Moore, Jr., 86, resident of Flower Mound, TX, and husband to Betty Brooks Moore, passed away quietly on Friday, August 31, 2018, at Zale Lipshy Hospital in Dallas, TX.  He was born January 17, 1932 in Shreveport, LA, to the late Audie King Moore and Henry Clay Moore, Sr.  He later lived with his parents and sister in Corpus Christi, TX, where he learned basic Spanish and has proudly honed that skill ever since by speaking to anyone he met who might possibly converse with him!

Henry was raised in Baytown, TX and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1949.  He earned a Biology degree from the University of Texas in 1955 and later attended medical school at UT Southwestern Medical Center.  He met Angela Ramos at Parkland Hospital and they married shortly thereafter.  Henry was called to duty during the Korean War, but never saw combat.   He served as a Navy corpsman attached to a Marine division on Okinawa, and later was trained as an aviation electrician at Navy Dallas upon returning to the states.  He and Angie continued raising their young family and were blessed with seven children.

I've had to pleasure of meeting Henry some 20t years ago, when my daughter Kelly married his son Hank, who has become my son also. Henry used to tease my sister Wilma and I, we were always on the go, He renamed us Thelma and Louise, from that time on, we were just family, I will miss him
