Having diverse interests lead Henry to a varied professional career.Ā He worked as a lab tech, a lab director and owned his own medical lab before launching his own lighting business, Ramco.Ā In 1993, he retired as a Chief Petty Officer after 22 years of serving his country.Ā Henry and AngieĀ were active in their community and were longtime members of Royal Haven Baptist Church.Ā In 2005, they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and Henry stood faithfully beside Angie and served as her caregiver throughout a long illness until she passed into Heaven's glory in May, 2007.Ā Henry found love again with Betty Brooks Moore, his devoted wife of 10 years.Ā They met at First Baptist Church of Carrollton where he enjoyed serving as needed, and always would wear his Navy uniform for any special event.
Henry had a passion for learning and developed an interest in unique hobbies including treasure hunting, genealogy, rock houndingĀ and Texas history.Ā He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren sharing many of his stories and experiences.Ā He took pleasure in nature, which included birdwatching in his backyard.Ā His love of country and commitment to serve reflected his patriotism, proudly flying the flag throughout the year.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Brooks Moore, daughters: Anita Borchardt and husband, Terry, of Duncanville, TX; Teresa Ramirez of Dallas, TX, Suzanne Noe and husband, Toby, of Van Alstyne, TX; sons: Hank Moore and wife, Kelly, of Burleson, TX, and Marcos Moore of Dallas, TX.Ā He will be fondly remembered by his 16 grandchildren: Christina, Natalie, Aaron, Robert, Angela, Monica, Richard, Lydia, Cary, Zachary, Kaytlin, Trenton, Brandon, Isabella, Briana and Braedyn and 21 great-grandchildren.Ā Henry is also survived by his sister, Mary Beth Moak and her children: Carol, John and Kristin; and by Betty' sons, Rick Tate and wife, Lisa, and Tommy Tate and wife, Shanon, and four step- grandchildren.Ā He will be sorely missed by his Papillion mix, Buster, and by Miss Tigger, his adventurous, long-haired tabby.Ā Henry was preceded in death by his first wife, Angie; daughter, Carol Ann and son, Steve. Ā
Visitation for Henry will beĀ on Friday, September 7, from 9:30am-10:45amĀ at First Baptist Church of Carrollton,Ā 2400 N. Josey Lane Carrollton, TX, with funeral service to followĀ at 11:00am.Ā Processional from the church will beginĀ at 1:15pmĀ for the graveside service at Restland Cemetery,Ā 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX. Ā The family welcomes and encourages all to join the processional to the cemetery where Henry will be granted military honors.
The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional treatment and care that was provided by the staff of doctors, nurses and support staff of the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit at Zale Lipshy University Hospital.

I’ve had to pleasure of meeting Henry some 20t years ago, when my daughter Kelly married his son Hank, who has become my son also. Henry used to tease my sister Wilma and I, we were always on the go, He renamed us Thelma and Louise, from that time on, we were just family, I will miss him
