Rapidly approaching the first anniversary of Danielā€™s death, I catch myself reminiscing about sunny days playing in the creek between our houses, or building hay forts in the old barn, or putting the old toilet in someoneā€™s yard on a Saturday night. Fun stuff. For whatever reason, I believe Daniel and I were soul mates. We could pick up and continue a conversation we had months prior. We shared many likes and dislikes, enjoyed our differences, and laughed at our misfortunes. I miss Daniel terribly. A large part of my past went with him. I loved his spirit, his sense of humor, and his intelligence. He was, and shall forever remain, a constant in my life. Daniel continues to be in my life as a part of my memory, my being. Our lives intertwined as if one. Weā€™ll be together once more, I firmly believe. I love my friend to this day, May you and God share a good laugh, shed a tear, and embrace those in need of a loving friend. I miss you, Daniel.
