Obituary of
Brand, Peter Robert "Pete"
Pete Brand, 74, of Farmers Branch, Texas went to be with his Lord, Friday November 2, 2018, surrounded by family and friends ending his fight with cancer.
Peter Robert Band was born October 7, 1944 to Dorothy (Rice) and Archie Brand of Jasper County Missouri.
He is survived by two daughters, Shelia Coker of Prairie Grove, AR and Cheryl Faulkner of Northport, AL and their children: James Christopher Herrin, Ryan Garrett Herrin, Caleb Duane Stockburger, Chelsea Faulkner, Maci Faulkner and Chasidy Faulkner Rice along with 11 great grand children; brother, Carl and Mary Ann Brand, sister, Nancy and Norm Johnson, sister, Betsy Connor, brother, Phillip and Brenda Brand, brother, Hank and Lana Brand, sister, Barbara and Bob Landis, brother, David Brand, and sister, Martha and Mark Smith, along with grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, many nieces and nephews and a very loving church family. He is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy, father Archie and brother Daniel.
Pete grew up in Southwest Missouri, where he married and joined the Air Force out of high school and started his trucking career hauling mobile homes while in the Air Force, he was the oldest of ten children and a little bit of a Black Sheep along the way. He became estranged from his daughters until Shelia decided she wanted to find her daddy, picked up the phone and called a Brand phone number in Jasper, Missouri and found his brother Hank, and then both Shelia and Cheryl were able to be reacquainted with their father. This reunion allowed Pete the chance to teach his grandson Chris how to drive a big rig and haul heavy equipment which he so enjoys doing today. Pete also had many many adventures along life’s highway with his brother Phil and sister Betsy (the 3 musketeers). He was a good trucker, he could load a big piece of equipment and/or park a trailer on a dime.
He influenced many people along his journey in his big rig; some of them include: Brenda Beatler and her brother, Darrell, Tracy and Lauren, the Dallas Johnson grandchildren; the Christian Center Church of Farmers Branch especially Sunday School where he was superintendent.
A extra special thank you to Weldon Burchett minster at Christian Center Church and his assistant Phil for all their kindness to Pete.
In lieu of flowers please donate to The Christian Center Church, 13505 Josey Lane, Farmers Branch, TX 75234 in Pete’s name.

We knew Pete for 35 years. He was a dear person and an extremely hard worker. He was so thrilled to have his girls
back in his life. Our knowledge of his strong faith in the Lord eases our sorrow. He was one of the best.

Mr. Pete R. Brand,
You touched so many lives with your willingness to help everyone that needed a helping hand. The wisdom and knowledge that you shared with me during our many phone calls and breakfast get together is priceless. I know your in a much better place and someday we’ll see each other again my brother. The pain in my heart will fade away but the love you shared will always be there. Love you my friend.
