Skrovan, William Anthony

William Anthony Skrovan, “Papa Bill”, 68, passed away November 10, 2018, after a courageous battle with Heart Disease.

Bill leaves behind his bride of 37 years, Linda Skrovan, and children, Chuck Martin (Sandy), Sheri Lemming (Steve) and Lori Brown (Chris).  He cherished all of his grandchildren:  Lindsey, Andrew, Nicholas, Madison, Ryan, Diana, Adriana, Eric, Missy, Lauren, and Jennifer.  He also leaves behind his sister Paula Cirfranic of California, sister Patti Johnson of Ohio and his sister in law, Barb Skrovan of Ohio and many extended family members and dear friends.

Bill had the biggest heart and would accept anyone into his home and treat them like family.  He is and will be sincerely missed every day, including his hugs, silly jokes, compassion, and sense of humor.  We were lucky to have such a great man love us unconditionally with his big heart. Bill taught us what it meant to be a “keeper.”

A private family memorial is planned to celebrate his life.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.

So sorry to hear this sad news. Bill was a friend throughout our Harding Junior High School and Lakewood High School days. Classmates and teammates in both football and basketball. He was an unbelievable athlete with tremendous work ethic, and always gave his maximum effort. His leadership was always evident to us as he was a major reason we won the 1967 Lake Erie League football championship. Thoughts and prayers for his family as we are all mourning his passing. Truly an outstanding person who will be missed by so many. Prayers for his family during this very difficult time. May God Bless his soul as he’s now with our Lord and Savior in Heaven!

My heart is broken at the loss of Bill. He always treated me like a daughter, whether I was being good or not! I will never forget the generosity from both Linda and Bill when it comes to my family. They took my son in like their own grandchild! And loved us unconditionally. RIP Bill, you are much loved!
