Obituary of
Clark, William Bruton
William Bruton Clark passed away in Dallas, Texas on July 30, 2014. He was born to Claudine and John M. Clark, Sr. July 14, 1934, in Dallas, Texas. Bill’s lifelong interest was centered on his family’s automobile sales, service and finance operations. After his father’s death, Bill managed Clark Auto Company and Clark Investment Company for a number of years. Bill graduated from Highland Park High School and earned a degree in Business Administration at UT Austin in 1961. He enjoyed being in the marching band at both schools. Bill married Carla Moore in 1963 and they had two children; Angela and William, Jr. Bill’s whole life was lived in Dallas. He served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1957-59. Bill took pride in his volunteer activities at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and at Highland Park Presbyterian Church. Bill enjoyed travelling internationally during his later years. Bill is survived by his brothers, John M. Clark, Jr. and Robert H. Clark, two children and three grandchildren. The family expresses great appreciation for the caregivers at Walnut Place and at Presbyterian Hospital. Bill’s final resting place will be the columbarium at Highland Park Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a gift to a charity of their choice. Please send family condolences and sign the guestbook on this website.
