Obituary of Alan Ray Middleton Alan passed away November 1, 2023 at the age of 77. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to Harold and Jewel Middleton. He was the devoted husband of Marcia Middleton and uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Alan graduated from Fair Park High School in 1964. He was on the Rifle Team, and Vice President of the Distributive Education Club in 63 and 64. Alan loved to fish and hunt with his good friends. Even if they didnt catch anything, they always had a good time. He started deer hunting with his father and brother, Joe, when he was a teenager. He would talk about how they would sit around the campfire and listen to his dad and his fathers friends tell stories of their hunting adventures. Mostly, Alan enjoyed the comradery he had with his good friends. Alan entered the Navy right after High School during the Vietnam War. Alan was able to go on the DFW Honor Flight trip to Washington D.C. a year ago with his good friend, James Lee. He had looked forward to that trip for a long time and enjoyed every moment of it. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Alan worked for several liquor stores before moving to Dallas. He went to worked for General Electric as a salesman and tech. He later worked for computer companies rising in the ranks by giving presentations, and speaking to large groups, which he loved. Alan went on to become a vehicle finance employee for Joe Gibson Cadilac in Greenville, Texas. After retiring, Alan went on to do finance contract work for various area car dealerships. Alan married the love of his life, Marcia on April 19, 1979. They would be married for forty-four years. During this time, they shared a mutual love of animals. At one time they had fourteen horses, countless chickens, ducks, geese, 4 dogs, and one very bossy cat. Alan and Marcia dearly loved them all. Alan and Marcia enjoyed many vacations snow skiing and scuba diving. Alan had a real dry wit about him and would crack Marcia up with his classic one-liners. Alan loved all his nieces and nephews and was proud of all of their accomplishments. They have two nieces, and four nephews plus three grandnieces and on grandnephew.
