Born on January 7, 1948, in Louisville, Kentucky, Pat passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012, after a brief but courageous fight against lung cancer. Pat was an extremely caring and generous woman who was well loved by the many people she met on her journey through life. She was actively involved in local youth sports organizations when her sons were growing up, including The Colony Youth Soccer Association, The Colony Little League Baseball, and Dallas Flame and Dallas Sparta Soccer Clubs. She also volunteered with the PTA, often helping to organize events and fundraisers. As a longtime employee of Valero, she touched many lives in the community on a daily basis. Many friends and co-workers have said that The Colony will not be the same without her smiling face to greet them when they stop. Everyone who knew her was struck by her kind heart and giving spirit.She was preceded in death by her parents, Teresa and Raymond Fortwengler; and her brother, Tim Fortwengler. She will be greatly missed by her sons, Jason Aldinger and wife, Caroline, of Austin, Texas; Jared Aldinger of Richardson, Texas; grandson, Dominic Aldinger; and many great friends.Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening, October 25, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas.A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2012, at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 2800 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas.
