Anita Pauline Ott

Passed away peacefully on the early morning of July 15, 2024 at the age of 91.

Anita was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is pre-deceased by her husband of 56 years, Robert Y. Ott; her son, Jeffrey C. Ott; her three sisters, Josephine Leaman, Susan Elaine Peterschmidt, and Kathleen Young; and her grandson, Benjamin K. Brownlee.

She is survived by her brother, William A. Ruff (Jackie); her son, Robert W. Ott; her daughter, Jennifer L. Brownlee; her grandchildren, Nicole L. Rose (Ryan), Robert S. Ott (Rachael), Christopher L. Ott, Ethan J. Brownlee (Jessica), and Heather G. Brownlee. Her great-grandchildren are Mary Rose, Emma Rose and Luke Rose, and Lily Ott and Robert M. Ott. She is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews, their spouses and children.

After graduating from Beaver College (now Arcadia University), Anita taught elementary school, raised her children, and moved often with her husband's military career.

She loved playing tennis, gardening, and travel. During her retirement years she played tennis daily at Brookhaven Country Club, and traveled to tennis tournaments all over the country.

A Memorial Service will be held at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 6411 LBJ Freeway, on Wednesday, August 7, at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to King of Glory Lutheran Church.
