Judy Whalen Ankney, 67, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at her home in Carrollton, Texas. She was born Judy Ann Whalen on May 30, 1951.She was a dedicated mother to her 2 sons; Sun Ray and William.Judy loved art, music, television & movies, country dancing, cooking, gardening, interior decorating, growing flowers, entertaining guests and having parties. She loved life to its' fullest and was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. For me, her husband, she was an angel: the essence of love and beauty. A real lady. Her laughter would make you laugh 'til you cried. She was an excellent listener. She was also an amazing cook: No one would ever leave her home hungry. She had the most loving and giving heart. Sympathetic to those in need. Her inner quality was immeasurable.Judy is survived by her husband, Joel Ankney of Carrollton, Texas; sons, Sun Ray and William Weempe of Carrollton, Texas; step daughter, Jacqueline Saba and husband Nathan; and grandson, Ethan of Richardson, Texas; step daughter, JoAnna Thompson and husband, Mark of San Diego, California.A celebration of life memorial will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 10:00 am.Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
