Obituary

Anne Toole Cottingham went to be with the Lord on September 22, 2024.

Anne, a third-generation Dallasite, was born July 12, 1930, to Louise Foster Toole and Albert J. Toole Jr.

A Hockaday School graduate, she earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts at Southern Methodist University.

She became a counselor and worked for Pastoral Counseling for 20 years.

Anne was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority, Dallas Junior League and Dallas Woman's Church.

A retired Deacon and Elder of Highland Park Presbyterian Church, Anne served as President of Women of the Church and taught Bible study for 30 years.

Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert L. Cottingham, and her nephew Jim Toole and his wife Pati.

She is survived by her sons, Wade Cottingham and his wife Dana, Jim Cottingham and his wife Lucretia, grandson Xander, brother Albert Toole and his wife Carolyn, and nephew Jay Toole.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Presbyterian Village North Foundation at 8600 Skyline Drive, 75243 or Happy Hills Farm, 3846 North Highway 194, Granbury, TX 76048.

There will be a private family service at Highland Park Presbyterian Church Columbarium.
