Obituary of Anthony Dave Bowers In the Lords tender mercy, Anthony Dave Bowers was called to his eternal home on September 20, 2023, in McKinney, Texas. Dave was born November 9, 1962, in McKinney, Texas, to Jimmie Doyle Bowers and Wanda June Bowers. If you knew Dave, you know he was good at just about everything he did. In middle school, he won the football award and the home economics award in the same year after being required to take up a hem and discovering he was quite the seamstress. Dave graduated from Plano Senior High in 1981 where he was a leader on their football team. He then attended Stephen F. Austin University for one year where he played baseball. Dave successfully worked in electronic manufacturing, oil and gas exploration, and construction throughout his life. He loved to go to Chiapas Mexico with Mexico ministries to build churches. However, he would have told you that his family was his greatest life achievement. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl Rose Bowers; two sons, both his pride and joy, Anthony Preston Bowers and wife, Alexandra, and Anthony Brooks Bowers; sister, Dixie Bowers Crabb and husband, Walter; and many nieces and nephews whom he adored. He was preceded in death by his father and mother. Dave loved spending time with family and friends, fishing, skiing, hunting, and enjoying Gods great outdoors. A memorial service will be heldon Sunday, October 15, 2023. Please contact his family for details. In true Dave fashion, following the memorial service there will be fellowship with family and friends, fishing (bring your poles) and a meal of Daves favorites, including cheeseburgers, Rice Krispie treats and other favorites.
