Artie Cardenas
Palmer
May 16, 1936 – February 24, 2025
Artie Cardenas Palmer went to be with Jesus at the age of 88.
Artie was born Artie Elizabeth Hathcock in Lawley Alabama to Bill and Thelma Hathcock/deceased. She was next to the oldest of five children. Hamrick Hathcock and wife Ann (both deceased), Carolyn Zambbotta, husband Ken (deceased), Jean Burt/Felix (both deceased) and James Hathcock. Two nieces and four nephews. Hillman Hathcock (deceased), Steve Pledger and wife Cheryl, James Burt and wife Julia, Paul Hathcock (deceased), Claudia Hathcock, Anita H Campbell and husband Jeff.
Artie lived in Alabama until 1965 when she headed west to California, then to Maine, then Louisiana, back to Alabama then with her connections with American Air Lines to Dallas Texas where she met and married her loving husband, Jimmy Lee Palmer.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Jimmy Lee Palmer.
She is survived by her son Bill Cardenas, Granddaughter Aurora Venden and husband Jack and two special friends Manny Cardenas and Marcia Corcoran.
She was a wife, mother, neighbor & friend. She was a member of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, The 24/7 and the Good News Sunday school classes.
Many thanks to Lovers Lane United Methodist Church and her friends and ministers there. They have helped in so many ways through her sickness. Thanks to her Congregational care person Debbie Moses for all the great things she has done with her and for her. You've put another star in your crown.
