Tommy Glenn Barnes was bornNovember 8, 1940 in Mesa, Arizona to Thomas and Retha Barnes. He passed away on December 1, 2014at his home from complications of Alzheimer's at the age of 74.He served in the United States Air Force from 1960 through 1963. He also worked for City of Denton Electrical District for 18 years.Tommy issurvived by his wife of 50 years, Charlene Barnes; four sons, Mr. & Mrs. Glenn Barnes, Mr. & Mrs. Tommy E. Barnes, Duane Barnes and Chad Barnes; andeight grandchildren, Mr. & Mrs. Randy James Barnes, Samantha Barnes, Justin & Katie Barnes Congleton, Trenton Barnes, Mr. & Mrs. Brandon Barnes, Brittany Barnes, Robert Bray, Nicole Bray Vaquez;ten great grandchildren; nephew, Sonny ; Russey; and niece,Tonya Russey Procell; sister- in- law, Sharon Craighead, Ben Craighead and Sarah Craighead Roach. He is preceded in death by his mother, Retha and hissister, Nancy Brown.A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 13, 2014 at 11:00 am at Love Fellowship Church, 16611 E.
