On the afternoon of July 1, 2016, James (Rick) Barnes, 67, passed away at Centennial Medical Center in Frisco, TX surrounded by his wife and family.Rick was born in Andrews, TX on January 11, 1949 to James Williams Barnes and Charlene Greaves Barnes, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Rankin High School in 1967 and received a degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington.Rick is survived by his wife, Terry Barnes, children Scott (Brianna) Barnes of Palmdale, CA, Chris (Heather) Barnes of Mississippi, Carley Barnes of Dallas, TX, Amy (Michael) Rose of Owasso, OK, and Chris (Jennifer) Newell of Plano, TX; 9 grandchildren; sister, Ann (Barnes) Streety of Little Elm, TX and nephew, Kevin Streety of Paris, France. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bill Streety.A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 2:00 pm at CrossRidge Church in Little Elm, Texas.In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Operation Kindness, 3201 Earhart Drive, Carrollton, Texas 75006.Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
