It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Barry Alan Young who left us on June 14, 2024. He was born on November 28, 1954, in Dallas Texas, and was preceded in death by his parents Leonard Franklin Young and Joan Marie Coker Young both from Dallas Texas. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Pfeifer of Northlake Texas, sister Holly Morris of Carrollton Texas and his brother Bryan Young of Carrollton Texas, 2 nephews and 1 niece, and several great nephews and great nieces.

He graduated from MacArthur High School in 1972. He loved to play baseball and was on the golf team. He also studied Architecture at Texas Tech University and was great at drawing, designing and building structures. Later in life, he developed a great love for Jesus Christ and extended that relationship further by attending Liberty University and earning a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Theological studies to become a Pastor. He was a longtime supporter of Christ for India. His dream was to start a ministry for older singles and had begun writing a book on the subject. He will be remembered as a great committed Christian who loved the Lord, and his desire to share the Bible with others. A celebration of His life will be held in the near future.
