David Leroy Baxter of Lancaster TX. Formerly of Brookfield, Ohio. Passed away on Friday, January 9th, 2015. David Baxter was born on January 27, 1957, Ashland, Kentucky. Son of William Edward Baxter and Joyce Marie Wilcox Baxter. David graduated from Brookfield High School, Brookfield, Ohio 1975.David served in the Army, afterwards, Davids love of cooking led him to become a chef; he worked for the San Antonio, Railroad and for several Dallas-Fort Worth restaurants, consulting for restaurant owners.In Davids spare time he enjoyed watching football, a Raiders and Cowboys fan, cooking for family and holiday gathering, his famous turkeys, loved picnics. You could find him near the water, boating with his family and a great humanitarian for the love of animals, dogs and cats, collection of mallard ducks.David was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, nephew and friend. David was loved by his countless friends and his neighbors always taking time for someone in need.Survivors include his wife,Saundra Taylor-Baxter of Lancaster, Texas; three daughters, Michelle Baxter of Ohio, Shanthea Baxter ofEuless, Texas, Theresa Taylor ofNew York; brother, Wayne Baxter ofRowlett, Texas; sister, Brenda Greene of Ohio; grandchildren, Samantha and Blake; and many nieces and nephews and countless friends.He was preceded in death by his father, William Edward Baxter and mother, Joyce Marie Wilcox Baxter.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2015from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Please send family condolences and sign the guestbook on this website.
