Berdina Therese Wilbanks, born in Baarn in The Netherlands in 1946, left her life on April 14, 2024 in Dallas, Texas, USA after a tedious battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Wilbanks, and her partner, Alexander Kwiat. She moved to the USA in the 1960's after working as a nurse in Japan, and became a jeweler in Las Vegas. She was the youngest of 8 children and a beloved aunt of her sister's children.

Bernie had impeccable taste in clothes, art, and jewelry. She enjoyed classical music and cats. Bernie was incredibly generous and would have asked that she be remembered by extending kindness to others, especially cats.
