Betty Lee Calk Ballard, age 82, of Farmers Branch, TX went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 7, 2024. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 13, 2024 at North Dallas Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Sam Calk and Dr. Mary Slankster officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m., at the funeral home.

Betty Lee Ballard was born on July 24, 1941 in Dallas, Texas to the late Alfred William Calk, who passed in 1987 and the late Mildred Rheudine Sweeney Calk, who passed in 1991. She married James Ballard, Sr. on March 1, 1959. Betty and James moved to Farmers Branch in 1968 where they lived for over 50 years until their deaths. James preceded her in death on July 9, 2018. She was also preceded in death by 7 brothers – James Alfred, Robert Lynn, Charles Patrick, William David, Noel Layfette, Thomas Ray, and Daniel Philip.

Betty was musically talented, playing the piano and accordion, and used those talents to support her and her husband's pastoral ministries throughout their marriage. She was a loving wife and devoted mother who took pride in helping others and bringing joy to their lives. For many years, she faithfully attended Christian Center Assembly of God church.

She is loved and missed by her two children – son, James Ballard, Jr., and wife Janine, of Irving, Texas; and daughter Charlotte Lynne Kroh, and husband Steve, of Springfield, Missouri; and her three grandchildren Matthew Kyle Ballard, Kaitlyn Nicole Ballard, and Justin Benjamin Kroh.
