Betty Juanita David was born on Thursday, May 2, 1929 to Willie Jasper and Lura Edna David in Marlow, Oklahoma. She passed from this life on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 in Plano, Texas at the age of 96.
On July 29, 1946, Betty married Wallace Edward Waggoner in Henrietta, Texas. They were married 70 years. Betty was baptized on March 19, 1955 at Eastside Church of Christ in Duncan. They both placed membership at Carrollton Church of Christ after moving to Lewisville.
Betty worked several years for the Sears Outlet Store in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas and the Sears Mail Order Plant south of Downtown Dallas until 1987. Betty and Wallace moved from Farmers Branch to Canton, Texas in 1985, and there they built a new house. They remained in Canton until 2016 when they moved to Lewisville, Texas.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and in-laws. She was also preceded in death by her brother William (Bill/Junior) David, her sister Wanda Morris, and her youngest daughter Cyndi Clark. Also preceding her in death were grandson John Bivins, great-grandson Dartanian Sullivan, great-granddaughter Karlee Harris, great-grandson Sebastian Sullivan, and sons-in-law Tim Bivins and Larry Ainsworth.
She is survived by her daughters Linda (Lynn) Ainsworth (Gaylen Harris) and Debbie Bivins, sister Judy Newholm, sister Neva Brown, and brother Larry David (Brenda). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Betty and Wallace loved to travel in their travel trailer. After retirement, they spent many summers living in Silverton, Colorado. They will be traveling in new places together when they are re-joined in Paradise. They will both be missed by their loved ones.
