Weidinger
January 7, 1937 – April 25, 2025
Beverly Ann Weidinger , age 88, passed away on April 25, 2025 after a valiant battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Beverly was born on January 7, 1937 in Dubuque, Iowa to Linus and Mary Conlon. She was the youngest of 6 children. Beverly married her college sweetheart, Herbert Henry Weidinger on February 9, 1957.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years and her son, David Weidinger. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Linus and Mary Conlon, and her five siblings, Eileen Rohner, Kay Hoffman, Donald Conlon, Dorothy Dempsey and Donna Feldman. She is survived by her daughters Kathleen Foster (spouse Bennett Foster) and Anita McDaniel (spouse Christian Apodaca). Beverly was blessed with five grandchildren Matthew and Christopher Moore, Benjamin Smith (spouse Zoe Smith), Andrew Foster (spouse Meagan Foster) and Courtney Nicole Foster. Beverly was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Clementine Smith and Callahan Lee Foster.
Beverly met her husband Herb in the Dubuque public library. Beverly was attending Clark College and Herb was attending Loras College. After college, they moved to Herb's hometown, Chicago, ILL and began their family. In 1967, they moved to Dallas, Texas. After raising her three children, Beverly completed her college degree and obtained a Master's Degree in Library Science at TWU. Beverly worked as a librarian at North Lake College for most of her career. Beverly imbued a love of learning in her children and grandchildren.
Both Herb and Bev believed in community service and giving back. Beverly was a member of civic organizations such as the Carrollton Women's Club. Beverly also supported Herb's political career as City Councilman for both the cities of Farmers Branch and Carrollton, Texas. One of the highlights of Beverly's life was being presented to Queen Elizabeth II of England during a sister-city tour in Bassetlaw, England.
Beverly and Herb loved to travel. They often traveled with their son, David Weidinger, whose international career spanned two continents with posts in Vienna, Austria, Budapest ,Hungary and Bucharest, Romania. Beverly was very proud of her Irish roots and traveled to Ireland to research her Irish ancestry.
Beverly's family wants to thank the staff of Oxford Glen Memory Care for their loving support.
The celebration of Beverly's life will be held on May 16, 2025 at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church with a Rosary at 1:00 pm and Funeral Mass at 1:30 pm. Reception to following at the Country Place Clubhouse, 2727 Country Place Drive, Carrollton, TX 75006.
