David Paul Biddle, Sr, age 81, passed away on the morning of Sunday, January 3, 2016, in Carrollton, TX.He is survived by his wife Ernestine Gipson Biddle who currently resides in Carrollton, TX; his daughter, Katrina Marie Bissett of Carrollton, TX; daughter, Saundra Ann Lanier of Hudson Oaks, TX, her husband Dr. Stephen Gregory Lanier; and son, USAF MSgt(R) David Paul Biddle, Jr of Salado, TX, and his wife Amy Louise Biddle; grandsons, Evan Thomas Bissett, Gregory Michael Lanier, Kyle Andrew Lanier, Kevin Ryan Lanier, and Nicholas Turner Biddle; sister Rita B. Duke of Birmingham, AL; as well as many nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his parents, William Trouse Biddle and Mary Elizabeth Biddle of Rossville Georgia, sister, Hilda Biddle, brothers, William L. Biddle and John H. Biddle.David was born on November 21, 1934 in Lakeview, Georgia, the youngest of five children. Having always felt the call to serve, David left High School at the age of 16, and joined the United States Air Force, in 1951. After 15 years of service, in England, Alaska, and numerous other stations throughout the United States, he left the military as an E-5 Staff Sergeant, and began a career in sales and marketing for the beauty industry.In July 1957, David married Ernestine, his wife of 58 years, in Cowan, Tennessee and the couple had three children together. Thanks to the Air Force, and his traveling sales career, the family had the privilege of traveling and living in such places as Albuquerque, NM, Omaha, NE, Cape Canaveral, FL, Sacramento, CA, Murfreesboro, TN, Jacksonville, FL, San Jose, CA, Manchester, TN, and Florence KY, before finally making it to the Dallas Texas area in 1979, where he and Ernestine would live out their years.David will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandad, as well as an animal lover, vivid story teller, and patriot.A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016from 6:00 -8:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.GravesideService, with military honors, will be Friday, January 8, 2016 at 11:00am at FW National Cemetery, 2000Mountain Creek Parkway, GrandPrairie, Texas 75211.Family and friends are invited to attend.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Davids name, to PatriotPaws.org.Please leave condolences for the family and share memories on this website.
