In Loving Memory of Billie Jo Herndon

Billie was born at home in Dallas, Texas on November 16,  1929. She was the daughter of Raymond and Jewel Herndon and had 8 brothers and sisters and was blessed to be in this world for 96 years in fairly good health until this past year or so.

She was loving, caring, devoted and supportive towards all her family as they meant the world to her and she was a caregiver to a few as well.

She worked at Kress Department Store for over 30 years and was a supervisor the majority of her time there.

She loved the Lord and was a member of Christian Center Church in Farmers Branch, Texas for many years.

She loved to cook and was known for her homemade pie crusts. She enjoyed traveling and went on many vacations with her family and loved every moment of the time they spent together.

She leaves behind her brother, Johnny Herndon and numerous nieces and nephews which she loved dearly.

Billie is preceded in death by her sister, Betty Harris; her sister, Nancy McKenzie; her sister, Charles Herndon; her brother, David Herndon; her brother, Ray Herndon; her brother, Bobby Herndon; her brother, and Don Herndon; her brother.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 10:00am, Pastor Weldon Burchett officiating. The service will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, 9178 Webb Chapel Rd., Dallas, Texas, 75220.
