John passed away June 24, 2012, at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his loving wife of 59 plus years, Betty Bonner; son, Robert "Bob" Bonner of Oklahoma City; daughter, Paula R. Bonner of Dallas; daughter-in-law, Michele Bonner of Austin; sisters-in-law, Delilah Lamar of Enid, OK, and Wanda Hamby of Oklahoma City, OK; several nephews, nieces, cousins; and a host of friends. He was a graduate of Oklahoma State University in Electrical Engineering. He worked 32 years for Texas Instruments in the Radar Division before retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Theta Chi Social Fraternity and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. John was a member of the North Texas Oldsmobile Club and the Oldsmobile Club of America since 1987. He had a 1972 Cutlass convertible which he enjoyed driving to many national shows, where he won many awards in several catagories. He was a 45-year member of Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon and an Elder for a number of years. He worked with the youth of the Church in the early years. His Memorial Service will be held at Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church, Richardson, Texas, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2012. Reverend Andy Odom will officiate.
