Shirley Stanford Booth was born January 10, 1935 in Waxahachie, Texas to Ernest and Ruth Stanford. She passed away August 21, 2018 in Dallas after a hard-fought battle with Parkinsons disease. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Bess Schwartz and Ernestine Simmons; brother, James Stanford; and her, grandson, Alan Robinson. She is survived by her sister, Charlotte Loyd, and sons, Jim Booth,and Steve Robinson and wife, Molly. Also, grandson Greg Robinson and wife, Laura; and granddaughter, Gina Robinson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, co-workers and many long-time friends.Shirley was raised in Waxahachie and attended secretarial school in Dallas. She had a long business career working for Sam P Wallace, Robert Folsom and other distinguished employers. She ended her career working for Gerald J Ford. Shirley was a founding member of TYPOS (Texas Young Presidents secretaries). She had a green thumb and was a rabid dog lover. She loved family, friends, a good party and her little Yorkie, Daisy Christine. Shirley touched many lives and will be missed by all who loved her.Celebration of Life service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 25, 2018 in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
