Avis Joan "Jo" Bowen peacefully passed away on September 24, 2008 at the glorious age of 80. Leaving behind her beloved husband and companion of 60 years, John L. Bowen. Her daughters and their husbands, Linda and Charley Davis III and Cheryl and R.L. Reeb. A loving grandmother to her 7 grandchildren; Tami, Lara, Julie, Desiree', Steven, Deanna, Karen and their spouses as well as her 12 great-grandchildren; Hailee, Presley, Carli, Scotty, Parker, Victoria, Austin, Mason, Justin, Allison, Connor, Kyle and Claire. Also survived by her sister, Barbara Hope and several nieces and nephews. Known for her passion and dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed, but forever remembered and cherished. Services will be held on Monday, September 29, 2008 at Button Memorial United Methodist Church in Little Elm, TX at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Grand Prairie.
