8/27/1921 - 7/11/2011A most remarkable man, Alvin Eugene Brewster, one month shy of his 90th birthday, passed from our midst the afternoon of July 11, 2011, at his home surrounded by his wife and family. The life of "Brewster" (the name he referred to himself), had breadth and depth that has been experienced by very few of us: Husband, father, grandfather, aviator, businessman, and genuine friend that many turned to for guidance and wisdom. Born in Antigo, Wisconsin to the parentage of Adelbert and NoraBrewster, he joined the U.S. Armyshortly after graduating from Three Lakes High School in 1940. In the Army, he rose to the rank of sergeant and was honorably discharged in 1943, so that he could be accepted into Officers Cadet training in the U.S. Army Air Forces.
