Bryant Lee Moore
PLANO — Bryant Lee Moore, also known as B.L., 95, of Plano, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 26, 2026. Bryant was born in Clarksville, Texas on March 5, 1930 to Joe and Edith Moore. Bryant grew up in DeKalb, Texas.
Upon graduation from high school, Bryant attended East Texas State Teacher's College in Commerce and worked in the oil fields in Midland to pay for tuition. He earned a Master's Degree as he not only wanted to further his education, but also wanted an opportunity to be an officer in the Army. He was a captain and served in the Korean War for 19 months including time in a MASH unit. He married his sweet and beautiful bride, Jenny Dell Moore of Redwater, Texas on February 22, 1952. Although Bryant and Jenny lived in several different places during the earlier years of their marriage, Dallas was home for 52 years.
B.L. was known for his positive outlook on life, mental toughness and developing relationships with people. The majority of his career was spent with Allstate Insurance where he started out working at an Allstate Booth in a Sears department store and eventually becoming a Regional Vice President of Allstate running claims, sales and underwriting departments in Texas and Oklahoma.
Upon retirement at age 57, he worked on multiple home projects and happily spent about twenty years assisting and guiding his son John in developing his State Farm Agency into a successful business.
As B.L. fought Alzheimer's the last three and half years of his life, he alternated between his usual positivity and his headstrong and persistent ways. He often told John and the people around him how much he loved them and appreciated all that they do for him.
Bryant is survived by his devoted son, John Moore, and his wife Kelli; grandchildren Henry, Bryant, Spencer, Lauren, Michael, Elizabeth and Emily and four great-grandchildren; sister Patsy Meadows; nieces and nephew Michelle Flanery, Michael Meadows, Sharon Parrish, Cathy Denton, Carla Clinton and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his devoted wife Jenny; his son Bruce Taylor Moore, his son Joe Brent Moore; brother Donnie Moore; uncle Ray Marsh; brother in law Murray Taylor and his wife Jean; sister in law Peggy Hogan; brother in law Doug Meadows; and niece Malissa Meadows.
We would like to especially thank the staff at Sunrise Senior Living in Plano for their care and love for both Bryant and Jenny. They were both residents in Independent Living for five years, and Bryant in Memory Care for an additional three and a half years. We are grateful for the many years of kindness shown to both Bryant and Jenny.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at The Heights Church – 201 W. Renner Rd., Richardson, Texas 75080.
