Joseph R. Buckley, 81, of Sachse, Texas, died January 17, 2012, at a Garland, Texas care center. He was born July 7, 1930, in Warrington, UK, to Agnes and Joe Buckley.Joe served in the UK Armed Forces as an officer in Africa and India. His first civilian professional employment came after he immigrated to Canada, where he worked as a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer. During his career, he assisted in the design of large equipment for use in manufacturing and aerospace industries. Joe had a passion for reading, an outstanding memory for historical events, a gift for conversation and a knack for tinkering. He had a big heart and a special affinity for those in need, be it a person or an injured animal. Joe passed away peacefully knowing he was genuinely loved, particularly by his devoted wife, Dorothy.
